Key Accountability Areas
Design and Development:
- Create detailed electrical system designs, schematics, and layouts for projects, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct electrical load calculations, system simulations, and performance analyses to ensure designs are efficient, reliable, and compliant with relevant codes and regulations.
- Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure proper system integration.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable standards.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Ensure that all designs comply with national and local electrical codes, safety standards, and quality assurance procedures.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders to integrate electrical systems with other building systems and project requirements.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide technical advice, and present design concepts and solutions.
Project Management:
- Review and approve design modifications and changes, ensuring they align with project goals and specifications.
Problem-Solving and Innovation:
- Identify and resolve design issues, perform system testing, and provide solutions to technical problems that occur during the implementation phase.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and solutions.
