Key Accountability Areas
BIM Modeling and Development
- Develop accurate 3D Mechanical BIM models for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems using Autodesk Revit.
- Produce coordinated BIM models, layouts, sections, schedules, and construction documentation in accordance with project requirements and BIM standards.
- Ensure models are developed to the required Level of Development (LOD) and project specifications.
- Perform model updates and revisions throughout the project lifecycle while maintaining model accuracy and integrity.
Coordination and Clash Detection
- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, and other MEP disciplines to ensure seamless system integration.
- Conduct clash detection using Navisworks or similar software and resolve coordination issues before construction.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and implement agreed design changes within project timelines.
Documentation and Compliance
- Prepare and maintain BIM documentation, including model files, drawings, schedules, and project deliverables.
- Ensure all BIM models comply with company BIM standards, client requirements, and applicable industry codes and regulations.
- Maintain organized project files and ensure version control throughout project execution.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with Mechanical Engineers, BIM Coordinators, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to deliver coordinated BIM solutions.
- Provide technical support to project teams and communicate modeling progress, challenges, and solutions effectively.
Project Management
- Complete assigned modeling tasks within project schedules while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
- Support project teams by implementing design changes and ensuring BIM deliverables align with project objectives.
Problem-Solving and Innovation
- Identify and resolve modeling inconsistencies, coordination conflicts, and technical issues.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, software advancements, and industry best practices to improve modeling efficiency and project delivery.
